Hi Bridgette

Thanks so much for your comment and for sharing your fears with us. They are SO normal. I love your purpose of helping the world to laugh - we need way more of you out there doing this incredible work! If you need help overcoming fear this article and the exercise at the end will definitely help - the other thing I can suggest is coming to one of my Dream Mapping and Goal Setting Workshops where I go into a lot of detail on fear and how to overcome it. If you are not in Johannesburg (or Cape Town) - you can purchase an Audio version of this wrokshop on this website.

Wishes and Magic

P.S. Serendipity!

Hi Fairy Godmother

I can relate to about 4 of the fears mentioned above, especaially the fear of not knowing enough and lack of financial stability.

I have recently gone through training to become a Laughter Yoga therapist and it is absolutley fantastic and so beneficial for people. I would like to break into the corporate market with it but fear is holding me back, i have been working at a companyas a sales consultant for the last year and a half, and it has been really hectic and it is not my lifes purpose to remain here or to leave and do the same thing at another company.

I feel like i am stuck in a rut and do not know where to start to get my company going....... *sigh*, I actually do know what i need to do
but i just cant get started.

I think I heard of this site on Khaya or Metro a few weeks back browsing local stations - pretty sure I've seen Fairy Godmother somewhere else.

I think I went from a situation of total independence to one of total dependence. I not sure not sure that's entirely correct, although I'm leaning on the idea that I may have been blissfully unaware of how important some sort reward system was. I find that in the absence of such a system or environment, I'm stuck really. I just don't know what to do. And having an independent mindset has me not wanting to burden others too much with my own troubles. I know that I'm worth a whole lot more. Having difficulty sparking some sort of fire that I could believe in. Thanks

Lynn - the fear of success is very similar to the fear of failure... you need to ask yourself...(and I recommend journalling the answers to these)
What does success look like to me?
When I am successful the worst thing that will happen is....
I can't be successful because....
Successful people are.....

Just write down your thoughts in free-flowing writing, eg. whatevr comes to mind. When you cgo through this exercise it will help you to uncover why "reahcing the peak" or success is so scary for you...
