Back with a Bump!
Posted on March 5, 2008
So what happens when the clock strikes 12 and you seem to leave the ball and while you were having an incredible time in your dream, experiencing synchronicities, feeling that things were manifesting – something sends you straight back to your previous reality with a Bump?!! It could have been something someone said, a circumstance or a problem that triggers a shift back to your old reality and your way of being. But, because you have begun to experience the power of dreaming, this shift back to a previous state may feel highly uncomfortable and depressing and in this space negative thoughts can overwhelm you.
This is the breeding ground for the inner critic….. he is in his death throes, trying desperately to cling on the past identities in order to remain alive and in the inner critic’s fight for survival he will get nasty and will throw up each of your fears to challenge and confront you. These can be everything from
“what do you think you are doing? See, I told you this doesn’t work! This is nonsense. What do the people think of you; do you know what they are saying about you?”
And the nner critic may get even nastier with “You can’t do this. Do you really think you deserve this? How are you going to make money? This is silly! You are going to lose your friends. Can you afford this?”
And it goes on and on and the more you listen to him, the more fertile the breeding ground for negative thoughts and emotions grows and it can spiral into whirl of negativity.
So –how does one deal with these times?
What do you currently do to get out of this negative state? I would love to have your comments and ideas and I will be giving you some tips and tricks next week on this blog on how to overcome this.

I have claimed 2008 as MY YEAR of change! I went through a really tough time last year… but the challenges lead me to a journey of self discovery and a completely new outlook on life. When I read your article it was as though you were writing about me… My advice would be to… accept the feelings, cry and deal with them and then to pull yourself together and start all over again. Each time you start over I beleive you become stronger and stronger. A lifetime of negative recodings cannot just be erased. They will try and kreep back into your mind, but you have the choice to win the struggle each time, and eventually overpower them with possitivity!
