One little action a day = BIG results
As a Fairy Godmother, I am an evangelist for people dreaming Big Dreams and then enjoying the journey of following them. My own life is hence filled with big dreams and sometimes I find myself getting overwhelmed in the following of them.
While I am certainly enjoying the deliciously magical journey of turning vision into reality, lately, as I have been skipping down the path of ‘making dreams come true’ I have suddenly found myself taking a few detours, getting caught up in the urgent but not important and being ‘too busy’.

Olympic Size Dreams
Can you believe we’re nearly three months into 2008? It’s a leap year, Chinese year of the Rat and, probably most significantly, an Olympic year. But here’s something I bet you didn’t know…
South Africa is not sending a gymnastics team to China for the Olympics!
WHY?

Quality Questions = Quality Life
I truly believe that the quality of your life is based on the quality of the questions that you ask. When we ask ourselves a question, our mind is instantly comissioned to come up with and find an answer to the question. So what type of questions are you asking yourself? And what type of life is that creating?
Ask yourself “Why does this always happen to me?” and you’ll get an answer. But if you ask yourself “How can I have a great day today?” you’ll also get an answer. Which answer is going to empower you more? You got it.
I’ll give you an example from my life – I love to travel and in 2007 I decided that one of my goals for that year was to travel to 5 different countries, but I decided that not only did I want to travel to 5 different countries but I wanted to get paid for doing it. And so instead of asking the question “How can I afford to travel to 5 countries this year?”, I changed the question to “How can I travel to 5 countries this year and make money while doing it?”.
The result – in 2007 I spent time in Italy, France, UK, Germany. For one of the trips my flight and accomodation was paid and the second trip I had a boat trip paid for and I did workshops in the UK and Germany which paid for spending money. And while I only did 4 out of 5 countries – let me tell you, I wasn’t complaining! I know that this reality and these trips were created out of asking a Smart question, rather than the usual question.
Take a look at this article for some tips on how to use the power of Smart Questions in your life.

Sprinkling Fairy Dust on Parliament

What a fabulous day of magic-making of the highest order… this morning I went off to the Opening of Parliament, wearing full Fairy Godmother regalia of wings, wand and of course a BIG pot of Fairy Dust… ready to sprinkle over the Parliamentarians, Ministers and President.
Apart from a bit of fun and making-magic for the country in the year ahead, the bigger point was to ask what I believe is a pivotal question for South Africa. [Read more →]
